A graduate of the Parker Chiropractic Research Foundation, Dr. Reid served as the Chair for the College of Chiropractors of Alberta Sports Committee from 1990-1994 as well as an executive member from 1990-1993. In 2022 Dr. Reid was awarded the Fellowship Service Award in recognition of 30 years of service as a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada).

Meet Dr. Reid

Dr. Douglas Reid graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors Degree in Science before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Following his graduation, Dr. Reid earned a Fellowship Degree from the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, with a specialization in Sports Injury assessment and Chiropractic Rehabilitation.

A lifelong athlete, Dr. Reid competed in baseball, hockey, and golf at school and university levels and spent over a decade coaching baseball and hockey in Calgary. He has served as a team chiropractor at regional and national sporting events and has completed extensive coaching education across North America—experience that informs his practical, results-driven approach to injury prevention and recovery.

Committed to ongoing learning, Dr. Reid regularly attends hands-on seminars and medical conferences across Canada and the United States, including programs through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, University of Western States, Dr. Len Faye’s sports chiropractic seminars, and the Stanford School of Medicine.
